Guest guest
Kim!!!! I was just thinking of you this week. How funny how sometimes lost friends just come back and I'm so glad you did. Please don't be a stranger. I'm so happy you are in remission, me too. I did want to say that I used to have the same problems around the monthly time. Surgeries used to bring on my migraines but not so much the joint problems. Well, you now have my newest address. Good days to you and the family, Melt It's been a looonnnggg time!!!! Hello everyone. I'm Kim D. and it's been a long time since I've been active on the site although I think about all of you often. I thought I would check in and let you guys know how I'm doing. I've been in remission for a long time now although each month around my "time" I tend to flare. My flares are nothing compared to what they used to be though and I don't take any medication other than Aleeve. I'm thinking about doing some "elective" surgery (plastic surgery) but I'm concerned about the health risk. I don't want to do anything that would cause me to come out of remission. Does anyone have any input? Prednisone weight is stubborn and I've been working out but my middle isn't going anywhere. I would love to hear how some of you are doing. It looks like the group is very active. Kim D. Guest guest
Hi there Kim, It IS GOOD to see you post! How very fortunate you are doing so well, I remember you were having a dickens of a time with SD. Like you I have been trying to get rid of some prednisone weight also and have done well except for stomach. There must be something about the drug that makes our bodies build a nice cushion there [and a few other places as well.] I have no knowledge of the surgery and SD that you requested, sorry. Hope all is well with your family, Have a happy holiday season, Louise. golightlyfredd wrote: >Hello everyone. Guest guest
Hi Kim, I am sort of new here. I have been off Preds for one year now and I still can;t lose the middle, so if you find a way let me know. I too am in remission but I have many new things. I have a heart condition now with lung problems and now I have aplastic anemia. I am making no bone marrow at all and my iron is almost none. I am seeing an Oncologist blood doctor this Wed. to may finally do something. I get so very tired as I am now. I am a single Mom and always seem to have to go someplace and it's so hard for me to get the energy. LOL Hugs; Gingergolightlyfredd wrote: Hello everyone.
