Guest guest
Tracey, just remember that it is what it is. It's already there, you just don't know what yet. You can't change it so go ahead and accept it even though you don't know what "it" is and you can cross the next bridge when you get to it. Love & hugs, Faith is the ability to not panic. -----Original Message-----From: trayc08166@... Sent: Tuesday, March 30, 2004 5:56 PMTo: HepatitisCSupportGroupForDummies Subject: Hurry up and wait? I remember someone from this group saying during my first days as a member, "so now it's hurry up and wait". had an ultrasound on his stomach area by the specialist, (he says he's not pregnant, lol) but will not hear anything for 7 to 10 days. He asked me to promise not to worry about his condition until he gets the results. Sure, ok will do! It must be that fact that I was raised by an over reactor that I seem to always except a more negative outcome about everything! Thanks gang! Guest guest
That was me. It seems that the doctors are always saying you have ti get this test or that test, it's important that you start tx a s a p, etc etc.then , when some other doctor says that he can't do whatever test it is until August -this just happened to me - your doc says well, if that's the only time he can fit you in that's fine. I That is what I told . Just because the specialist can't fit you in until next week, doesn't mean it isn't urgent. And to put them on a fill in list if someone cancels. t makes me feel slightly homicidal . It's just another example of hurry up & wait. So I sit here with ankles so swollen that when I wear socks the marks take close to an hour to go away, Would putting your feet up help with the fluid retention? my brain is so foggy that if I don't write it in my hand or put a poster on my front door I forget to take out the garbage, hurryed, now I'm waiting. Suzie What can be done about the brain fog and what is causing it? Granted, I have it too but it's due to the fact that I'm a blonde {{Suzie}}

I just call him daily and let him know that I care and am there whenever he needs me. And if it is bad, bad - I'll cross that bridge (and over the river and through the woods) and stay with him until can't fight anymore and than some! {{}} Tracey
Guest guest
Nothing wrong with a will call appointment or heck I've even flown standy-by, you might get in quicker with a fill in apt than with making one For every person with a spark of Genius, there are a hundred with ignition trouble.Eddie
Guest guest
Yes Tracey , putting my feet up would probably help with the edema - the problem is I sit at a desk at my job (only part-time , but mine) & I find it impossible to type on the computer lying down. It's not just the feet & ankles anymore3 either, it's moved up, past my knees now. Maybe you could look into a lap top? My doctor prescribed a diuretic but it's not helping much (makes me pee like a race horse tho'.) Right I know how those work ... like a race horse. :} Do they have you on potassium to replace what you pee out? As for the brain fog, I'm a redhead so I started off wayyyyyyy ahead of all blondes. Oh, I didn't know that that redheads had a "thing" similar to blondes. (my mom and sister are redheads too!) It's caused , I've read , by the liver failing to clean out all the toxins from the blood. This causes them, (mainly ammonia, I believe) to build up on the tissues, especially the brain & it interferes with the normal neuron firing involved in thought . To put ot somple, bad stuff gets into your head & makes you forgetful among other things. Ok, was just referring to this too this weekend. Will improve since you are in treatment? Thanks Suzie!
