Stan Do you think the same would hold true for treating bacterial infections and kicking up a latent viral infection? Seems this would be the case with my son if this is true......after treating for lyme he got so much worse....but we are getting him back with treating the herpes and yeast.....does this make sense? I believe we have to do all of it at once. I think in our kids the triangle of

biological

warefare between fungus, bacteria and viruses are running the house. I think we

need to

take control of all of them at the same time and then the immune system will

come back

online, metals will dump, parasites will die and so forth.

Work on one you are helping one side of a civil war. You need to go after all

of them and

let the healthy cells and processes retake their ground.

Thanks Stan for your reply....I think what you say has alot of

merit..but unfortunately the treatment with abx put my son in such a

bad state that I dont think I would consider this again...Right now I

am enjoying getting back the son I had before that treatment and

looking forward to some gains we lost many years ago...he has all the

soft sign you spoke of with your son...as well as a long history with

herpes virus....I was very leery to even try the valtrex as he was a

true horror story last year but I am so glad I tried it with him..we

are seeing the old son coming back...he has color in his face again,

smiling and laughing, using new words, even using " I " which he has

never done, much more aware of things going on and inconsistently

offering info without being asked...many more subtle improvements

also...we are still battling other issues that started last year but

the severe aggression has significantly decreased....Eileen

I have to agree with Stan on this one based on our personal experience.  We recently started a longer term abx with our antiviral and antifungal and I have to say, my son is doing much better overall.  He was constantly sick (even before the antivirals) and every time we put him on an abx (it was always bronchitis) he would do great until we stopped.  Within days he would be sick again.  I did recently get a post from Owens on another list that suggested that the abx we are on is doing something other than fighting bacteria (which Dr. G also alluded to at our appointment).  I didn't really understand it and she hasn't clarified for me yet but there's something to it.  When you were treating the lyme, were you on antivirals then?  My thinking on this is that it's possible that not having the full trifecta may be making the situation for you worse as you don't have a full immune system support if you have viral and bacterial issues.  I would think that yes, treating the bacteria would kick up viruses and vice versa so the immune system still isn't able to get things under control on it's own with that extra influx that you think you don't have to worry about.  I don't know this for sure (all speculation on my part) but we've had great success treating all 3 at once.CherylI believe we have to do all of it at once.
