Re: MMR vaccine never contained thimerosal

I have questioned my family about these diseases for as far back as the 20's

and 30's. The conclusion was they never heard of anyone having complications

to any of those diseases or long term problems. They said when they got sick

they were kept home and not sent to day care centers to have others take care

of their children, therefore they didn't expose their children to anyone else

during the duration of these diseases.

I think the drug companies and the CDC have gone completely overboard.

I have always heard that varicella (chickenpox/shingles) is much worse for an

adult than a child. Here is a post from some ladies from another group.

Kathy,

Shingles use to be a disease of the elderly. Because the varicella

virus stays in your body most people who have healthy immune systems, and

passive exposure don't come down with shingles. The other thing I

remember was when I was a kid my mother would be happy to see a lot

of chicken pox erupt. She said that a good outbreak is how the virus

left the body. Hold that thought. Now with the chickenpox vaccine, it

is not allowing our kids to gain natural immunity. Now because of the

chickenpox vaccine we are not getting passive exposure to reactivate

our antibodies. The reason most elderly get the shingles is because

as we age our immune systems become weaker, not to mention all the

drugs, and poor nutrition the elderly deal with. Now we are seeing

shingles in young children because of the vaccine, also the

chickenpox is on the rise again even in the vaccinated. Instead of

using their common sense and stopping the vaccine they are talking

about a booster, and of course adding the shingles vaccine to the

mix. They create the disease and then find a vaccine for it.

Peggy

---

> The school that I work at had a shingles outbreak among middle

children - 10 out of about 1200. They all had the chicken pox

vaccine - most were out for about 2 weeks. I can't help but think

that because of the vaccine when the body is under stress of hormones

during the adolescent years, you might end up with shingles.

I think medical professionals could be a little more common sense

about it, too. If the MMR causes complications, and we all know it

does for some children, then why not have the vaccines split, or even

consider not immunizing for some until certain ages. Like we know

mumps can make boys sterile, so why not have a wait-and-see for those

who want to, but make sure to get them the vaccine if, by age 10 or

so, they haven't contracted it. My first daughter's ped suggested we

not do chicken pox until school age and give her a chance to contract

it naturally.

Of course, some people who do contract the diseases will suffer. Is it

measles that can cause vision loss and mumps that can cause hearing

loss? These are serious issues and I have to admit because I've never

met anyone who suffered from it I tend to blow it off. But ask their

mothers and they will feel just as strongly about preventing the

diseases as we do autism.

<sigh> life is so complicated sometimes!

Well, my grandmother almost died from the chicken pox, she was

hospitilized for over 6 months. Complications do occur. I wouldn't want

my son to have any of those diseases. Also, for all of them, you are

contagious 2 days before the rash appears, so you can spread it to

people before you even know you're sick, that's why they break out in

epedemics.

Girl you keep doing what you're doing. We have to do what we can for our

kids. If along the way we are able to help each other and also maybe inform

others to not be ignorant and question everything, no matter what. Don't just

except what the medical profession says.....dig deeper...... I know my

children's

doctor had their best interest at heart, but because he just excepted what

the journals and government told him.

It is a combination of a lot of screw ups!

Our children are blessed to have parents who advocate for them..just think

about the children who don't and the children in the future who will be damaged.

How fortunate for your Ella she has you.

That's the way it is with all viruses. They are extremely virulent

even before you realize you are having an immune response. Viruses

are very stealthy that way.

Sometimes I feel so guilty for not knowing more when I immunized my daughter, I

trusted her pediatritian, and the handouts she gave me. It makes me want to

travel back in time so bad, sometimes I wonder what Ella would be like right

now if she hadent been injected with all the horrible things they gave her. It

kills me to think she might have been ok, I could cry for days, years, decades

about that one thing, my anger could fuel a rocket...I just wish I could do

something, I wish the medical world could truly fix their boo boos, but they

cant, and probably wouldnt even if they could. So I am an advocate, I am a

fighter, I am a therapist, I am a mother of a vaccine damnaged child!

What can we do?

Shouldnt my pediatritian have told me to wait if Ella had allergies and food

intolerances?

No one ever said anything!!!

Now I'm wondering if that's why he reacted to one of the others, I
