Guest guest
I'm not if it this or not ... PreVentricular Contraction - heart's ventricles contract too quickly, sometimes called a skipped beat. These are not supposed to be really dangerous but they can drive you nuts. A PVC is usually followed by a pause as your heart resets its electrical system. The next beat is often felt very strongly - a palpitation. -----Original Message-----From: Sent: 13 November 2004 15:53To: Stillsdisease Subject: Heart Hello all, Has anybody had a funny feeling with their heart at bed time when you were lying in bed? I was in bed last night and it felt like my heart missed a beat. It's very hard to explain the sensation but imagine blowing through a straw in a bottle of water - gas bubbles form. It felt a bit like some bubbles were being blown around my heart. It missed a beat because you can feel your pulse in your head when you have it pressed to the pillow. It wasnt painful, but I was just wondering if anybody else has had something like this happen to them? It was a very peculiar feeling. The thing is, its not the first time its happened. Sorry for the vague explanation. Guest guest
Hi , I have Supra Ventricular Tachycardia { no I don't know if it is spelled right, it is enough to just get it out.} It causes my heart beat to slip into a pathway that has no natural pacemaker { we all have a natural pacemaker in our heart} and we race!! Zoom! Sometimes over 220 which is exhausting...Anyway, I occasionally had those blips, before and since I started racing. My advise would be that if it doesn't happen again until your next doc appt, mention it then. If it happens again, just place a quick call into your doc and let them know whats is up. SVT is harmless albeit exhausting and annoying, and many of us have weird blips that we never pay attention to, however in some cases it can be a sign of something else so you should let your doc know.
