For those of you who don't know me yet, my name is Lorie and I joined the group in December of 2002, but I have been just a lurker these days, & I am so far behind in what is happening with the group and behind in welcoming all the new Stilligans. WELCOME... It never ceases to amaze me, how many new people join in the months of September & October. I was diagnosed in early 2003, and since then it's been an up and down rollercoaster ride. I now have other diseases, along with Stills so everyday is a challenge. I have mostly been in remission for a few months now, but I also have fibro and that has replaced the Stills, and now I mainly have problems with the muscle and tendon tissue, constant pain and inflammation of the tendons in my feet/ankles, hands, elbows and shoulders. I am not taking any meds at this time, except for pain killers. That sums it up for the most part. I want to tell all the new members, just to be patient...we all have our bad down days and need to vent and such...that is why the group is here, we all need a place where we can go and know that everyone there is having basically the same problems as everyone else and we also know that no one here will judge you based on your illness/disease, we all understand the frustrations involved in this crummy disease. I just love it here..I have met some of you and look forward into meeting more in the future. ( I get to go visit one of our dearest members...Caroline#1 in just a few weeks....What a wonderful soul ) It is hard to describe the feelings you get when you meet someone else who has this disease, I know for me..I didn't feel all alone anymore.I hope that everyone is doing well. Hi to all my old stills friends, welcome to all the new ones, and may we each have a wonderful Fall Season....Hopefully painfree Hugs, Lorie in SeattleVisit the Still's Disease Message Boardhttp://disc.server.com/Indices/148599.htmlThe materials and information contained in this message are not intended to replace the services of a trained health professional or to be a substitute for medical advice of physicians and/or other health care professionals.
