it because we are all numb to these kinds of reports, that it is too

far down the pipline to really think about seriously or should we be

excited???

This is what had to say yesterday:

" This report was a tabloid type one. I talked to and

and they said they did not endorse anything in that report. "

,

The news is intriguing, and I will have my eyes open for further

information on the development of these compounds. I don't think

it's numbness that keeps me from jumping up and down with excitment.

It IS potentially exciting news, but given the early stage of

development it's too early for me to get excited. I will definitely

stay tuned!

Hi all,

DAPYS is not " a " drug but an approach to building " flexible "

molecules. Because of this flexibility, the molecules might be able to

respond to HIV mutations by " flexing " and still staying bound to their

targets.

This approach does appear promising, but don't get too excited yet.

This press release is more typical of what we see from small biotech

firms that are getting ready to raise public money - kind of

breathless and overstating the realities of their product.

Tibotec is developing TMC125 which is based on this " flexible

molecule " model. It's in Phase II studies. Stay tuned.

tibotec is a sub of JNJ. As most of us know its not a good idea to get

real excited over these kind of stories, but it sure made my day.---
