Guest guest
I suppose my "Niacin works wonders..." comment was a bit vague. Sorry guys. Had a really low HDL count of 18 a few months ago and it scared me. I went online (before I found about about this site) and found out about Niacin's effect on HDL. I started taking Niacin 250 mg twice a day and my last HDL count was at 41. I've added Omega 3 fish oil 1000 mg twice a day as well. And, I'm having oatmeal for breakfast now too. So, I think I'll be in the high 40's or maybe break 50 next time I get labs. -----Original Message-----From: Barrow Sent: Monday, December 20, 2004 6:30 PMTo: Sullivan-CoateCc: PozHealth Subject: Re: CholesterolUsing Niacin, fish oil, and lipitor, along with some dietary modification and continuing exercise, I have raised my HDL from the low thirties to the forties. It used to be in the 60s, pre ritonavir, but at least it doesn't indicate toxic levels anymore.JB Niacin works wonders!!
