Calling all recent Chicago casting parents!!!

We have a new parent in Iowa City that needs your help. His son Wyatt is 2yrs

old with idiopathic scoliosis. They followed their doc's advice and did the wait

and see thing (like so many of us) and his curve quickly went from 40 degrees to

70 degrees. They now want to do surgery ASAP. The Dad called me looking for info

on casting. Chicago would be the closest for them. We did not have good luck

there (not counting the cast Dr. Mehta did herself during the training August

2007) and had our casting success with Birmingham. But, it has been a couple

years since we were at Chicago and I'm sure the program has evolved since those

early days and I know there are parents on here that could probably provide more

current insight for this parent. Also, anyone (not necessarily Chicago) that

started casting 2yrs or older with a 70 degree + curve that has had success with

casting? I know he would love to hear about your experience as well.
