HI Jill,

Yes you are right I am on the bypass list and will have surgery

Wednesday Sept 22. I understand your hudband's feelings. I often say

the same thing, I would rather be happy while alive and die trying

something that makes me happy than to not really live at all. I also

have a hard time convincing my husband and kids of my theory.

I was slightly overweight at time of surgery but very active, I

walked everyday and ran a daycare from my home and did hours of

gardening. I ate a very healthy diet and do not drink any alcohol

and I do not smoke. I think that was the hardest part for me to see

others who ate fast food, partied, drank and smoked, had high

cholesterol and they are going along just fine. I do have diabetes

and it is hard to control. I think that is what is behind my heart

problems. I have had diabetic neuropathy since the diabetes was

diagnosed. I am 48. I have been taking the lipitor since my first

angina attack - as far as I can tell I have no side effects. Hope I

refreshed your memory as well as answered your questions.

Hugs Gail
