Guest guest
Hi Pat, Thanks for the info......I've been trying really hard to eat good and drink lots of water....started drinking ginger ale for the nausea....I'm taking 6 ribavarin a day.....I guess because I'm a little overweight.....but what good do those pills do if I can't keep them down sometimes?? This probably sounds strange...but the only thing that seems to work for me is milk (and I am NOT a milk drinker) and peanut butter....I haven't been able to eat any kind of meat at all.....things just smell and taste funny......some things are very hard to get used to.....someone else on here said that my feeling drunk all the time might be brain fog......it feels like a MAJOR case of vertigo.........but I'm bound and determined that I'm going to do this.....thanks for being here Pat......sending you hugs and prayers too Tina The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. Guest guest
Tina I started on 5 riboveron tablets a day and they did have to reduce it down to three a day.I was also only 100 pounds at the time.I still cleared the virus, they couldn't reduce the interferon or that would have been more serious.I did treatment for 52wks and for the last 49wks I was on the three riboveron and full doses of interferon.See about the Procrit and Epogen. Guest guest
Dear Tina, You are not alone. The sides put a major whomp on me also. At 30 wks I still don't eat meat. (I've gone from 170 to 115 lbs.) Milk is good girl, drink it up. I hope you have someone to help you. My legs would shake if I stood. And it seemed every time one side cleared another came up. Learn to take one day at a time. Some really weird stuff happens, but you can make it. Keep your Doc/nurses informed. I wasn't on the list for my first 16 weeks, I struggled alone with only husband and family. No one told me about the brain fog. So, Hang in there girl, you are a dragon slayer!! Kim T.
