Guest guest
Hello Surgeons (or anyone who would like to chime in),I have a few questions about different hind limb orthopedic surgeries. Total Hip Replacements:What age is too young for total hip replacement be considered? Wouldn't the growth plates need to be closed for this to be an option? What is the success rate of THR's? The dogs we have seen did very well and ranged from 2 years of age to 12 years old. CrCl surgeries: Are meniscal releases still standard with TPLO's. For those that are no longer performing them how many of these dogs return with meniscal tears?Meniscal Tears: What is the incident of meniscal tears without CrCL involvement? Any takers? Thanks in advance... le Robbins, M.S., P.T.Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist AMERICAN DOGPHYSICAL REHABILITATION FOR ANIMALSle@... www.AmericanDogRehab.com
