Guest guest
Hi everyone, its my first time posting in this group. I have recently been reading about supplements that are helpful for liver problems and am interested in polyenyl-phosphatidylcholine (ppc) also called polyunsaturated phosphatidylcholine, which is even mentioned in the Physician's Desk Reference. PPC is supposed to promote the breakdown of collagen in the liver, which can interfere with normal detoxification processes. I have found a source of PPC, from www.lef.org, but it is very expensive. I have also found a similar product by NSI at vitacost.com that contains just phosphatidylcholine without the polyenyl prefix and is a lot less expensive. Both sources are derived from soy beans so I am thinkinng they are likely pretty similar. Anyone know if these things are basically the same in terms of their benefits to the liver. Any other suggestion of supplements and formulas to protect the liver? Thanks for any info you all can give, ~
