Guest guest
Well, we had our annual "early" Thanksgiving/4 Birthday party family get together yesterday. My little plan to up the K and Inspra didnt work. I am suffering from a salt hangover today and my hand actually cramped up playing guitar in church today. So, i should have listened and just stayed away from the mashed taters and gravy. Oh well. No pity party needed, just another lessoned learned. Grrr. My salt tolerance is getting less and less. The meds must not act fast enough to counter the excess salt. I wont be trying that at Christmas. ============================================================================45-Male-Caucasian, 5'9"- 242lbs, PA Diagnosed 2007 Suspected Hyperplasia-No tumors on CT - No AVS.Meds: 50mg Inspra, 40meq Potassium, 2400mg Calcium, 1000mg Magnesium, 100,000UI Vit D (weekly), 20mg OmeprazoleSide effects: Gynecomastia, stomach inflammation (from potassium citrate)Other Diags: GERD, Hiatal Hernia, Metabolic Syndrome - PreDiabetic, Secondary Hyperparathyroidism caused by Renal calcium leak, Bone Cyct in left Femoral Head and Pelvis. Guest guest
I was on 100mg of Spiro before switching to 50mg of Inspra. Doc wouldn't go higher. See him in two weeks, so I will be talking about it. If he won't up the Inspra, I might add Spiro or go back to it. Not really looking forward to more Gyno pain, but may not have a choice. I need to be more consistent with watching the salt better too. The salt hangover gets my attention a bit.Sent from my iPad May need more med or less Na. Or both. 50 is a piddling dose. Guest guest
You need more Inspra. Recommend he read some of the articles on the use of Inspra in PA. He may not be up to date on it.CE Grim MD I was on 100mg of Spiro before switching to 50mg of Inspra. Doc wouldn't go higher. See him in two weeks, so I will be talking about it.
