Good for you! I love to hear that people are taking

responsiblity for their own well being and getting off

of the meds that the medical community feels is so darn

good for us.

Ask you dr. if he is taking Lipitor. Since by their own

admission just about everyone in the country should be

taking Lipitor to lower their cholesterol

it would be interesting to see how he answers that.

> Finally some results..I stopped Lipitor shortly after joining this

group....I bought some COQ10 at Walmart...I also have COPD and am a

diabetic...I had a Cancerous Kidney removed in 99.....I had high

blood pressure also and changed doctors and he gave me a different

medication..My blood pressure is wonderful now...126/78 today...I had

a spell with my breathing in the last month... They always give me

predisone...I had such terrible aches and pains that they considered

Firbomayligia....While on this medication my pain went away..But my

blood sugars jumped sky high...No matter what I did they ranged from

500 to 600...He gave me Actos to take along with my pradanin....Still

no lowering...So he put me on insulin today....BUT.....my cholestrol

has dropped to 179. The HDL is 69....The LDL is 77. So I'd say the

CoQ10 has done the job ...I'm not sure if the stoppping Lipitor has

caused the aches and pains to go away but I know I seldom have them

anymore and I'm not so tired....I also have a clearer mind....the

high blood sugars cause a lot of discomfort but so I don't feel

wonderful but I feel so much better...My husband was on Lipitor and

he soon stopped taking it too...He was having a terrible time with

his leg...He thought that he had injured a nerve in it as it went

numb and often felt like he was going to fall.....Seemed to center

from the hip to the knee.....After being off Lipitor a week he felt

improvement...His Doctor told him that he should continue the Lipitor

no matter what as he had heart failure in 99 also......But he hasn't

started taking it yet and he continues to feel better and his leg is

improving all the time....So .....we feel the Lipitor was a big part

of our problems
