moodiness

My 9yo ds used to be such a happy kid. Now I find that he frequently

is moody. Yesterday we were doing the diabetes walk for my nephew and

he didn't get chance to take part in a spinning a wheel for a prize

activity before the walk. So during the walk he kept asking me if he

could do it after. I said yes we will do it right after the walk, but

he asked a zillion times after and became very quiet and sullen. This

type of behavior has been happening a lot. All of a sudden he'll be

quiet and not want to speak to any one and if you try to talk to him

he'll just grunt or point. I'm thinking he must be ruminating in his

head and just not able to let go of some thought.

Any suggestions... should I just ignore it?
