Guest guest
Hi Bob, maybe I am wrong, but I think the exercise shown by H.F. Philipp in the bullworker 2 booklet is done in a different way than the yoga technique. - in the booklet : you inhale, pulling your belly out, then, after one second, you pull it in, and after that, you keep it "in" while exhaling slowly. It really works the transverse muscles when you tense your abdominals while exhaling when your belly is "in". - in the yoga technique, you pull your belly "in" while exhaling as long as you can, the stomach is "sucked" - and advanced yoga practitioners keep the posture with empty lungs for some seconds.I think both can help to reduce the waist size, but maybe the first one is a more "muscular" exercise (you tense abdominals, like isometric contraction, with belly in while exhaling), whereas the second one is not about tensing abdominals (but there is a great internal organs massage). Hope this helps... and make senses, since I am not en english speaker Best regards. Bob a écrit : I posted an enquiry some time ago about a stomach exercise that appears on the Bullworker 2 chart. The exercise requires that you exhale and 'pull in' your stomach whilst raising the chest. This description seems to suggest a reliance on the transverse muscles to perform the action. However, I've since discovered there's also a yoga version of this exercise where, after complete exhalation, the glottis is closed and by 'attempting to breathe in' the stomach is literally 'sucked in' by atmospheric pressure.Does anyone know which of these two versions was intended in the original Bullworker 2 chart?Bob Gilmour Ne gardez plus qu'une seule adresse mail !
