i dont beleive my dad repressed inappropriate sexual comments/actions. i

truly believe and was verifired by mri that the frontal area (*where the sex

inhibitions are( was shrinking therefore he was unable to control nor

understand that some of the things he was saying/doing was wrong. or socally

incorrect. this disease is so ugly, it is a shame that it destroys not only

the person with the disease but the family and ctg too.

hugs sharon m pensacola, florida

daughter/caregiver of Leonard, symptomatic from the early 1990's. we moved

in with him 1/19/03. diagnosed 5/04 broke hip ball 7/5/05, asp pneumonia

and lung blood clot 7/14/05, asp pneumonia and uti 8/05, passed away 9/25/05

I guess one of the questions for me, and I think this is something

that April is hinting at, is whether it IS the disease or whether that

kind of behaviour is in someone's nature all along. I'm wondering if

my dad has simply covered / repressed / suppressed this kind of

attitude to women for many years or whether it's a total character

change brought about by his dementia.
