Guest guest
Yes, Alberto, I second Wren's thanks for posting the original message. I have not read much about it other than what is described in Nourishing Traditiona in the sidebars on each page. I find it encouraging that so many things we have taken for granted are being re-examined, that conventional wisdom is being disputed and held up to scrutiny, and that people are waking up to their own power to manage their health without governmental interference. ~Joe
Guest guest
This is an awesome post. Thanks Joe. It blows my mind that so many people in the mid 1900's just accepted the villification of something they knew was good. ... without even questioning that what it was being replaced with had it's own insideous shortfalls. and .....(see next post) > I find it encouraging that so many things we have taken for granted > are being re-examined, that conventional wisdom is being disputed and > held up to scrutiny, and that people are waking up to their own power > to manage their health without governmental interference. > ~Joe
Guest guest
Wren-- Thanks so much for reminding me of Appleton. I know Dr. Mercola used lots of her materials a few years ago. Which of her books did you think most valuable? I want to get some. --Terry Re: The Curse of Louis Pasteur Thank you so much for sharing that info! I've recently read another and the most recent of Appleton's books titled The Curse of Louis Pasteur. It was an excellent, excellent read on this very subject, giving background information on Pasteur's experiments and judgements along with comparisons to his contemporaries' experiments and beliefs about what they and he were finding out during this time period. I would highly recommend the book. There's also a new booklet called Lifting the Curse of LP. And of course, if you haven't read her book Lick the Sugar Habit then you should get to ordering it to!! = ) Great info and great lady to learn from. Talking with her is always informative. They are all avail. on her website: http://www.dietfacts.com/appleton.html Wren <><
