I heard an ad for a local produce stand that had yellow watermelons. They

were advertiosing that they were good for diabetics. Does anyone on this

list know if they are better than the regular watermelons as to their

vitamins,etc.?

In fact, they are lower in some nutrients, and lycopene is one of them. I

am not sure how anyone in their right mind could advertise that watermelon

is good for a diabetic, some may be able to eat a bit with no serious

results, but it is asking for trouble for many and the advertiser could be

liable for huge damages.
