Guest guest
Hey Matt......... you should know what the medical communities say are the target range of LDL.........and no I do no think i have read it being 400. You are getting testy again and that irritates some people here. I wish you would cut it out. Please keep in mind what people have been telling you......this IS an anti-statin place........because people here were and are being harmed by statins. NOooooooooooo, that is not everyone in the worlllddddd.......just us here..........hence the name of the group.......remember???? Most people here have already looked at all sides.......and have reached a conclusion...but, in case there are any more people out there like you, who seem to be searching for answers........you will happily be invited to read our archives, etc., and then read other places, talk to your doctors, and friends, and pharmacists, and then............only then.......make up your OWN mind as to how YOU feel about statins. I seriously doubt you are going to change anyones feelings here in this group,:-) so I wish you wouldn't waste your breath, if that is your inclination:-) Now about the preventiveness and laziness of we Americans,(or would that be us Americans?) and others I think........absolutely you have a point. We all know that.....I speak for myself but think others agree..........we have already studied this and know how to eat and how to live....for many of us here, have made tremendous changes. I only had to read the book, Fast Food Nation, to totally change the way I see food.Plus watch my husband go thru open heart surgery after a heart attack... All we can do is try..........and so can you by not whining about being put down........ I am sure your letter will serve to bring out even more testiness from others.......but I hope not...... My mom used to say Kill 'em with kindness..........and that is a thought I try to live by:-) Hope you have a good evening Matt............. If you find some worthy things to read, or links, be sure to send them in. Just make sure they are not promoted by AMA/FDA, or that kind of thing. Also......yes indeed......statins do lower inflammation......I found that out when I took them......my arthritis pain was not as bad. However, the side effects I soon got were worse than the arthritis........maybe not for everyone, but for me..... Now......go give your family a hug, and get rid of that hostility....THAT is not healthy. Jill Another Side Of The Story This article makes some sense to me. Guest guest
As always I am asking what this group through it's talking and learning from each other what a range should be. I know what the medical community says. It is all over the place. The point of the question was THE POINT of the question. Hostility goes both ways. You can not read anything without bias. No matter what. What is a range? Another Side Of The Story This article makes some sense to me. Guest guest
Also equally your anger and hostility towards pharma companies and the actual compounds as though they were actual entities that act on their own to destroy things. It is not healthy. Venting yes, but continued lingering and inability to let any of it go is not healthy either. So please don't lecture me on hostility. This place breeds and encourages it. So I will hug my kids and wife as I hope you (all) take a look in the mirror and ask yourself about your own hostility. Ask yourself if it is helping your psychophysicalparallelism (mind-body working together). Just a thought. Hostility is hostility like a statin is a statin. Right. Guest guest
Your answer is somewhat disingenuous. See this list talks about how high levels of cholest ldl may be beneficial. Articles circulating about ldl levels being artificially lowered by statins and the evil pharma companies tricking everyone. And these articles get a big round of applause. So there must be an idea about range. But blind anger takes over and you can't see what is being asked. Right church, wrong pastor? Maybe another pastor has the right verse.
