hello i'm new

Hi, I'm new to group, being lurking for awhile. I figured I should

introduce myself, and explain why I join this group.

I'm 23 years old, married, and have a 5 year old daughter. I'm a

college student studying to be a school teacher.

I have had back pain since I was pregnant with my daughter, it

hasn't really gone away since, and has gotten worst.I used to have

better days when it didn't bother me much, but now no matter what I

do, I can't get it to stop.

Last Feburary in 2006 I noticed a swollen area on my lower back near

my tailbone. The area that is swollen is about the size of my hand,

it's lightly bruised. You can see and feel swelling. My daughter can

see it and say " Mommy has a big booboo on her back. " The amount of

swelling sometimes decreases and increases.

The pain in the swollen area is kind of unique. It gets hot and cold

amd just feels sore. Even just water dropping on it from the shower

makes it hurt.

I also have pain in my legs and sometimes my feet. The leg pain

feels like I ran a mathron. They are extremely weak and sore,

sometimes I can't even walk around my house.

I also get muscle spasms/twitches all over my body, in my arms,

legs, back, shoulders, and sometimes even in my stomach area. I'm

always tired.

Doing basic household, chores, sitting in class, shopping errands is

workout and a nightmare.

I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm getting really depressed

and just want my life back.

None of the doctors can figure out what's wrong with me. I had X-

rays, CT scan, and MRI but none of them showed anything.

I'm just so fed up with doctors.

I was seeing a neurologist, that did an EMG, and said that I have a

minor pinched nerve, but she doesn't know what's causing the nerve

to be pinched. She handed me some neutrontin and send me back to my

primary care doctor. My primary care doctor doesn't know what to do

either and send me back to the neurologist that doesn't know

anything either.

The neurologist wants to send me to Physical Thearpy but I don't

know what good I'm going to get from. I'm actually afaird to go.

I'm also told to get a biospy on the spot.

If the biospy doens't show up anything I don't know what to.

Nobody can tell me why my back is swollen, why my legs and whole

body hurts. It's really depressing and frustrating. I don't know

how I am ever gonna go back to work when I can't still sit or stand

for any amount of time. I just want to get it figured out what it is

and get it fix. I'm sick of taking pills all the that barely do

anything.

I'm sorry if this was a bit long a bit of rant.

I am wondering if any of you have heard of anything like this, or

have any idea where I can try looking up more information so I can

try and reasearch myself (since the doctors arent')
