Guest guest
I am a lurker on this line and have thrown my lipitor away after weigth training and exercise and a sugar busters lifestyle brought my cholesterol down to 160. I need to know the daily recommended amount of coQ10 that is adequate for healthy cardiac function..... How many milligrams of coQ10 and how many times a day............Also, is life extensions policosanol still the recommended way to go if cholesterol is high? Thanks.......... Guest guest
Bogie: Sugar Busters is a lifestyle formulated by two physicians in New Orleans who wrote a book on losing weight and maintaining health by eating foods with a low glycemic index...........No refined sugar,,,,,no white or enriched flour (only whole wheat).........only whole wheat pasta.................only brown rice..............no irish potatoes.........etc. and additionally adhering to low fat also............My triglicerides are minimal and this lifestyle has made me lose weigth while flattening my abdomen............To me, it is the simplest change in eating habits of any lifetstyle on the market. But, I am not a sweet lover to begin with except on holidays and special occasions..............Amazon should have the book if you are interested....................Good luck...........Fruits and vegetables are big items on sugar busters---not tuberous vegetables or pineapple or bananas.............they have too high a glycemic index
Guest guest
Hi Cotton. What is a sugar buster lifestyle? I gotta know the answer....?? But on the answer side of your question. I take 300 mg's of Q10. I'm thinkin of making it 400 till I stop taking the Zocor I'm currently on. I take mine in 3 doses... am, noon and supper time. Some ppl say it may interfere with sleep, so they don't take it before bed. I'll pay a hundred bux for your chol level. Good job. I believe the life ext stuff is as good it gets. Good luck with your adventure.
