Guest guest
Dr. Palmer DDS was at the latest BALA conference and noted that the snoring does lead to pressure in the bladder causing bedwetting as well. Broughton Tongue-tie's link to bedwetting This is probably far too simplistic, but my understanding is that if the tongue cannot move correctly the palate may be too high and narrow. This may result in narrowing of the nasal airway, leading to snoring or even sleep apnea. Such a child or adult may have such inadequate sleep that when truly exhausted may fall into such a deep sleep that he/she might not be able to awaken to use the bathroom. This is a stretch, for sure. Probably far more likely to occur from excessive use of thumbs or pacifiers Please don't think I'm saying that bedwetting always results from tongue-tie.
