Guest guest
Thanks, Warren. The only lawsuits I can find regard liver damage. Brain or heart concerns are, thus far, of no importance. Maybe some day... Statin Class actions HI,This site may be of interest.Warrenhttp://www.classactionamerica.com/
Guest guest
> HI, > This site may be of interest. > Warren > http://www.classactionamerica.com/ Thanks Warren, I had already joined that site, but my drug is not listed (Pravachol). They are suppose to be starting an area on that site where you can suggest a suit and have other ppl join in, and the lawyers will look it over. It just doesn't make sense to me why Baycol victims can get a settlement from injury from that drug, but I can't do anything much about my situation. I for one am tired of being a guinea pig for these drug companies. As a diabetic I was on Rezulin, Avandia, and Actos, the whole time my doctor and I were being told the side- effects were nothing to worry about...Yeah right! Well, I have just had enough, and it will be a cold day in hell before I take another new " safe " drug with " rare " side effects!
Guest guest
DB, have you had a muscle biopsy? When it comes to Baycol, I was on that for 10 days just before they recalled it. From what I have read, there are several class actions suits against Bayer and this involves many thousands of cases and $477 million SO FAR in settlements. I just can't think that ALL those ppl had full blown diagnosed Rhabdo. Please, clarify for me how they are documenting and proving their cases, I'm a little lost on the details of the issue, but it was my impression that any injury from Baycol could be included in the suits. Of course the settlement amounts would vary widely depending on the severity of the side effects. I'm sure you have checked out your case with a lawyer. Have you contacted any of the many firms on the internet handling the class action suits? I would think if you uddered the word Baycol in the softest voice, they would be lining up at your door and working hard to get you your rightful settlement (and their cut!). Please let us know what you have done to persue this. I wish you the best, I know you are getting a raw deal. I hope that gets resolved. Guest guest
DB, thanks for the details. I was wondering how you can tell by looking that it is Rhabdo? My legs are red from a few inches below the knee, my lower legs feel hard and kind of waxy like a candle, and one leg has dents in the calf. I can't walk far, everything starting with my lower back aches and just plain gives out. I need a wheelchair for shopping ect. I think enough ppl are starting to hollar about this, that it will be addressed eventually. Dee > No Dee no biospy just muscle damage to the point you could see it clearly They call it Rabno like all other case's I know of even close to mine will have to be tried in court Bayer will not no how no way settle the untill they loose a case or two like it,then it would be easier to settle them than fight I was on it 9 months the first statin I ever took and the last to me #' don't matter my life means more to me than a pill and should I die?$hit it is my life and atleast I didn't die from there crap. beside who decided col is bad for you ? if the body makes it it needs it unless something is bad wrong I would never had taken it at all col would have to have been over 300 before I would even consider it..
