May I ask what specific symptoms your friend has? What type of symptoms started showing? Also, is your friend on any medications? We shall wait for a reply before bombarding you with more questions. By the way, hats off to you for standing by your friend! Great job!! Sandie and -- new member to this list Hello everyone!!! I am new to this list and wouldlike to introduce myself. My name is Robyn and I live in southern Maine. I have been caring for a friend of mine for several years now. She had been to two neurologists and neither of them had diagnosed her with LBD. One had NO diagnosis, the second diagnosed her with " hardening of the arteries " . My friend basically had an emotional crash with violent hallucinations and was rushed to the hospital where they monitored her for a couple of weeks and then sent her to a nursing home where she has been diagnosed with LBD. I had suspected Parkinson's and Alzhiemers Disease as she has symptoms of both I have tried to find concrete information on LBD and what to expect but there really isn't anything out there. My friend will not be going home for the nursing home as her dementia is pretty bad and she has constant hallucinations (not always violent). I would like to learn from this list and from your experiences and hope that I can help my friend get through this LBD as smoothly as possible to her death.
