Darcy, they can get rid of the fibroids for you... and if they keep coming back, you can get an endometrial ablation, which seems to make them slow way down in coming back. Quote

Guest guest Posted June 18, 2006 Report Posted June 18, 2006 Wow, a *year*! That's a long, painful wait, with fibroids. Especially since the D & C isn't a great big deal, I'm usually home in time for lunch. (I think I've had four or five now. Suckers keep growing back!) > > Hi > yep i know im justing waiting for them to clear me for the surgery > cause of the pain pump dr wont do it til a yr from when had pain pump put in > make sure everything is going ok with it but since i had to have another > operation due to pain its been pushed back again. > Darcy > > wrote: > > > > > > > I have cramps also daily from fibroids but i can tell u when its > > that time of the month the cramps feel like i want to punch a hole in > the > > wall i end up doubled over. > > Darcy, they can get rid of the fibroids for you... and if they keep coming > back, you can get an endometrial ablation, which seems to make them slow > way > down in coming back. > > Quote

Guest guest Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 That sure explains it! Sounds like with your fibroids, it's a good plan, best of luck with the surgery. > > they are wanting to do a full hysterectomy on me so thats why the wait > > wrote: Wow, a *year*! Well, ya know at the time when I brought up hysterectomy, I was ONLY battling diabetes, so the doctors thought that maybe I was rushing to judgement about having a hysterectomy, and they thought I should think about it and reconsider, because at the time I was only 30, and they didn't want me to do this then regret it if I wanted another child. THEN... in 2003 I developed the neuropathy and went on DRUGS, and my diabetes was uncontrolled and, I knew that I was not going to be able to have another baby. I couldn't come off all these drugs for 9 months and suffer through the neuropathy pain. People who have the neuropathy know how painful and unbearable the pain can be. I just didn't see me coming off these pain meds to do that. And then, I wasn't convinced that with my diabetes and as I got older that I could have a " healthy " baby. I just wish while they were in the area, I had it done. OOOOHHH how I would LOVE to be free of PMS and periods. Mostly the PMS. Quote

I love it, now as of now.. knock on wood, i am not on hormones, i was left with one overy.. and the rumor has it that it still is working.. but no more periods.. yippie skippie.. Carin. Guest guest Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 Well ONLY diabetes is enough when you are going through pregancy. When i was pregant, I was pregant 3 times, lost 2 sets of twins and a singleton all around 4 months, alot of the medications i take, have never been tested on women of child bearing years, or on pregant women, or on fetuses, and so on. And as i sit here now. 2 years after the hysterectomy, I would love for my only problem to be getting my blood suger up. when you add whats wrong with my lower back, that is basicaly, a jumbled mess of bones, that are either, hernieiate, twisted, estended, shoved to one side and the list goes on, and a growth in my spinal coloum, and the dr having fits becuse my pain killers are not working. on top of everything else. With one misscarriage, the DNC was done wrong and damaged the inside of my uterus.. and i had fybroids the size of golf balls and then some larger, my dr took pictures to show me.. lol.. there was no way for me to have a child unless i was in bed for 9 months and off all my medications. like that could happen safely for everyone concerned. it was not worth the gamble, my life or a babys life. So i know where you are comming from. ScarletCatnRuby2@... wrote: In a message dated 6/19/2006 11:18:36 A.M. Eastern Standard Time, love4puppers@... writes: but no more periods.. yippie skippie.. Guest guest Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 I had a Hyst 13 yrs ago and let me tell ya...its the best operation I ever had... No more periods...no more bloating...and no more worring about if the pads i bought were going to be big enough. Just make sure they look at your ovaries when they are in there...this yr is March I had to have my left ovary removed because they left a blood clot in there from the endo. > > they are wanting to do a full hysterectomy on me so thats why the wait Quote

They did that because the fibroids kept growing back, and were nasty painful during a period. On the other hand, I'd love to know if these are hot flashes I'm having... hard to tell if it's menopause, or the flu! (I'm 42, it could go either way) Quote
Guest guest Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 I have had a hyster. but the question is if I had a full or partial. I was told in '97 that he had done a partial, so all these years I have thought that until couple of months ago when they did a ultrasound on my ovaries and they could not find them. My report shows in couple places that I had a partial then anohter shows a full. My doctor who is questioning this has sent for the pathology report. I have the hot flashes, but my estrogen is showing ok, but my testotolone is very high. So, maybe I will learn something. But, the hot flashes can be unbareble. Well good luck. --------------------------------- Talk is cheap. Use Yahoo! Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1ยข/min. Quote
