Hi, my name is . I live in Homedale, Idaho. As an attachment parenting, breastfeeding, and homeschooling mom of three (dd-11, ds-4, ds-21 mos.), I often get distracted from what I was doing! We recently moved to Idaho from Mesa, AZ, before that we were in the Chicago ,IL area. I have been studying nutrition as a means to "cure" health problems for about 8 years. In the last couple of years, I have learned the benefits of raw foods (including dairy), and what cooking or pastureizing actually does to them.

As I said, we recently moved to Idaho. I have found that raw milk sales are actually legal here with licensing, but I have not been able to find any raw milk. I also have been looking for cow shares, but have only heard of one in Washington (7 hours away, one way). I have been searching for cow shares in Oregon also (since I am 5 minutes from the border), but I have not been able to find any, or anyone with "3 or less cows" who has extra.

We were able to get raw milk for about 3 months while we were in AZ, and we have noticed a decline in our level of health since not being able to get it anymore. I have heard that raw milk is good for teeth...and am desperate to find some for my boys. The four year old has teeth that came through rotten and decayed...they literally crumbled as they cut though, and the 21 month old is showing signs of the same thing.

Mostly, I have been looking for people who don't think I am crazy for wanting raw dairy... my family thinks I have truely leaped off the deep end this time, but they raised me to think for myself!

,

Welcome to the group who've truly leaped off the deep end ;o)

Today at work I told only the 2nd person at work that I consume

RawDairy (the 1st was my supervisor!). And I've been drinking

RawDairy now about 5 months. I only brought it up to this assoc

today because we were talking naturopathic drs and I asked her about

how her dr feels about dairy and that I couldn't go to a dr who

didn't see the importance of consuming good quality raw milk. She

was impressed when I told her about making butter. But on further

thought I probably bit off more than I can chew - since my local

source of wonderful Guernsey milk, Daisy Mae is going on maternity

leave in Nov. And I don't even have another source lined up. 3 or

less cows? That's only part of the problem. The rest is that there

just aren't that many folks who are selling raw milk here in Southern

Oregon. Now, today, I go off and try to introduce raw milk to an

assoc? What was I thinking?!

You aren't on a vegetarian diet are you? Till you get raw milk again, I would recommend that you pick up some calcium hydroxide(pickling lime), and have each family member take 1/8th tsp. dissolved in a glass of water a day. It is only a couple dollars a pound, and a very digestible source of calcium.

Hi ,

I sympathize with your situation. Many of us have family who think we

are coo-coo. Turns out that it's family who needs to question reality

and stuff.

My sister was forced to eat beans when she was a kid. She had

convinced herself that she just couldn't eat those mushy brown bug-

looking things, so she puked them right back up. I recently bought

that same sister (a nutrionist) a half gallon of RAW milk to try, and

I just recently found out that it made her sick (or rather she made

herself sick). So she will not drink anymore. It's too bad too,

because she could use it, and her husband who has IBS would really

benefit from it as well I believe.

I've been drinking RAW milk for 3 months and I will never be able to

drink another drop of pasteurized milk.

My sister likes Beans now. I haven't touched a Bean since I saw her

puke them up :)
