Guest guest
Carol, Your words were very interesting. So how does a person find out what his/her individual health problem is? Just by observing themselves? Taking tests? Or how? I myself do not have MS but my younger brother does, so I am asking on his behalf. Thank you, Alena Alena, I came to that conclusion, after I'd done a couple of years or so of research on the web and through books, and being on lists like this one. One thing leads to another and soon you get into all different areas of health. As I gathered info, I began to see patterns that painted a pretty good picture of what my problems were......by seeing my various symptoms overlapping from one health condition to another. It was sort of the process of elimination too. Also, I had been having a physical every year, and I knew I was in excellent health, other than the MS. My doctor would always say, "If it wasn't for the MS, I'd say you're in excellent health!" He'd tell me things like, "Well, you don't have to worry about ever having a heart attack", etc. too. Plus, I'd go over all my tests, which gave me clues too, and helped me eliminate a lot of problems.....I mean I discovered what problems I don't have. I did go to a Naturapath about 5 years ago and he ran some tests, where I discovered I had candida overgrowth and intestinal dysbiosis. So, right there, I knew some of the problem was my intestines. In other words, you just have to play detective and be willing to spend untold hours on the internet and at the library. (Unless you can afford to just put yourself in the hands of a Naturapath - if they're good, they'll figure it out for you.) Guess that would have been a shorter way of saying the same thing I did above! LOL Carol

Why one person gets Crones, the other Colitis, the other M.S. is a mystery. I think if your brother makes a list of all the things in his life that have caused him imbalance, that all of these issues need to be addressed. Everything from poor diet, heavy metal poisening, childhood vaccinations, Lyme disease, bacterial infections, Leaky Gut, etc. There are some tests available to diagnose some of these issues, but I think your brother will probably know intuitively which of these issues needs to be addressed first. Personally, I think we are a nation of overeaters who are nutritionally starved. We have created nothing but imbalance in our intestinal tracts that have caused us disease. Diet is always a good place to start. God Luck! Guest guest
Dear Carol, The diet which helped me the most has been THE EAT RIGHT FOR(4) YOUR TYPE DIET, following the instructions for the Auto-Immune DISEASES Also check if you are using ASPARTAME, AS THIS MAKES THINGS A LOT WORSE. FOR DETAILS of the book, see www.dadamo .com Elaine Elaine, We've talked about both those before. I was on the ER4YT diet for almost a year and didn't notice any difference on it. Because it was also so limiting for me, I just quit. I've done much better on the Best Bet Diet. As for Aspartame, I don't believe the hype on it......none of it is backed by any kind of reasonable scientific evidence. I don't use it except in Dr. Pepper, and I don't have it on a daily basis. But, I did quit using it for 2 years and just kept going down hill, even without it. So, I started drinking it again. The Best Bet Diet took away about 85% of my symptoms and I was drinking diet pop during my improvement. Carol
