Guest guest
Diane, This is ridiculous. Have you asked about narcotic pain meds, like Percocet or Methadone? Thats what I take, and they work wonders for my back pain. I'll be in pain for the rest of my life as well, but that doenst mean that I have to suffer. I tried Neurontin, and it made me very sick - got the dry heaves after taking one pill. So I never took it again. *********************************** in Washington Emotionally and Medically screwed up *********************************** ------------------------------------------------------------------ In a message dated 7/14/2006 1:18:31 PM Pacific Standard Time, Hugs-N-Pain writes: > The Neurologist and Pain Dr. had told me in April (last > time I saw them) that their isn't anything they can do for my pain - > that I'm going to have it for the rest of my life and that I need to > just live with it. Guest guest
Sorry I haven't responded sooner, but I've been staying off of my feet lately because of the pain. When I saw my PC last week, he prescribed Lyrica, but my Insurance company won't cover it. The pharmacist said it costs $142.oo. I contacted the drug manufacturer to see if they could help me, but I don't qualify for any of their programs. I contacted Social Services to see if I could get Medical Assistance or the State Insurance program, but they told me that my income is too high and so I don't qualify. I've called my PC to see if he could get a sample when the Rep comes. Hopefully he can. We haven't tried any other pain meds as I've had allergic reactions to Vicodine. Right now I'm at my wits end and I feel like just giving up. My depression is gettin worse and it's scaring me because I just don't care anymore. I'm tired of being in pain all the time.
