Guest guest
Carol, Thanks. I did a word search on this list for antibiotics (don't know why I didn't think of that before) and found a couple of good leads. Didn't you mention that you were taking colloidal silver, which is some sort of antibiotic, but that it didn't seem to be making a noticeable difference? Yappy Yappy, I'm actually taking ionized silver. It's a smaller molecule than colloidal silver, I believe. It's supposed to do a better job at getting into the cells. I haven't noticed any difference except that I have been feeling a little better very recently, so I supposed it could be from the silver. I've been taking it for several months now. I bought a gallon, and with ionized you don't take as much, so only 1 or 2 tablespoons a day, but that's for candida. But, I really feel like it's the olive leaf and the anti candida diet that are doing it. (Who knows, though, I could be thinking wrong!) Guest guest
Carol, Are you taking the d-Lenolate? I still am and getting better and better everyday. LIke yesterday I was able to take my 2 year old to 2 stores all by myself!!!!!!!!!!!!! and drive!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never been able to do that. And then I came home and did a craft project, and did 3 loads of laundry and cleaned!!!!!!! I am just getting better and better and I hope you are too. For Yappy try looking up d-Lenolate for it is a natural antibiotic that kills yeast, bacteria, viruses, and even our friendly little mycoplasma. But it must be taken for a long time. Who cares though? If you feel better. I work with a phd out of California. He works for a company called life sources. The web site is : www.life-sources.com. His name is Dr. Hugh and he cured his wife of ms. I am walking better and have soo much more energy. This is the first time I have actually improved instead of getting worse. Carol, please let me know if you have had any die off. I have been on the protocol for 2.5 months and it seemed like for the first 2 months all I did was urinate every 2 hours, no joke. I asked about this and Dr. said it was a good thing. He also said the opcs are a natural diuretic. I do notice now though that I do not have to go as frequently. Good luck, KC PS. I am pissed about the nutritionist I was seeing that had me eating beef, a lot of it. Now I understand why we cannot eat things with a lot of cholesterol, the mycoplasmas use it to make their cell membrane!!!!! Thank you for steering me in the right direction as far as food goes. Guest guest
Hi Yappy.....Ever since I read about Dr. Sriram.....his findings are interesting. Where did you get the listing of antibiotics? Can you email it to me? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks Cabbie....... Ordinary people believe only in the possible. Extraordinary people visualize not what is possible or probable, but rather what is impossible. And by visualizing the impossible, they begin to see it as possible. - Cherie -

I looked at the d-lenolate, but decided to try plain olive leaf extract first, because I believe it's less expensive and, as I remember the ingredients in d-lenolate, I couldn't see much difference. I think it's doing very well too. It's a little early yet to say, but so far I have been surprised at the difference in how I feel. I just want to give it a little more time before I come to any definite conclusions. I have planned all along that I will switch to the d-lenolate, if what I'm taking doesn't seem to do much. I urinate a lot, but I think it's just because I increased my water intake more, but it could also be from the olive leaf extract. Other than that, I have not noticed any die-off, but I've never had much die off. Some people just don't get it that much, whereas others seem to feel very sick. I think it may be that I've taken it fairly slowly with my treatment. Are there OPCs in the d-lenolate? When I first started eliminating as much saturated fat as possible, it was just because of what Dr. Swank says, but I have stuck with that, because the Best Bet Diet I'm on limits saturated fat too. But what you are saying makes much sense! Carol

Unfortunately, you are overlooking the fact that WE use cholesterol to construct our new cell membranes as well! Cholesterol is NOT a bad thing, and is very necessary for our normal growth and cell repair. Too much of anything is always not good. We make our own cholesterol if it is not eaten, because we do need it. I think if you spend the time to do some research you'll find that dietary levels of cholesterol are not particularly related to " blood " levels of it found in people. There are many other factors that are much more related to high blood fat levels, like good old stress. I'm still very unclear on why people on this list are so worried about animal fats. Is there an article or two on your Best Bet site that could help me understand? Holly
Guest guest
I'm still very unclear on why people on this list are so worried about animal fats. Is there an article or two on your Best Bet site that could help me understand? Holly Holly, It's because of the 35 year experience of Dr. Swank in his MS clinic in Oregon. The only place I know of to read about it is in his book "The Multiple Sclerosis Diet Book". There may be some info on it on Ashton Embry's site, I can't remember, off hand. I first found his site in about 1994, so I've kind of forgotten what's there and what isn't. Here is my layman's interpretation of what Swank says: First of all you have to know that the blood flow in people with MS is markedly slower than in normal people - circulation in legs and feet is very slow and there are surges of blood too, which cause tiny embolisms. Swank and his collabortors observed that a large saturated-fat meal caused marked aggregation of blood cells in humans and dogs, and also increased the viscosity of venous blood. That's a fact for anyone, but when you combine that situation with the inate blood problems of MS patients, it causes us a greater deleterious effect than the healthy individual. Oil meals did not do this. The net effect of these blood changes is a breakdown of the blood brain barrier. Also, the aggregations in circulation could cause severe focal areas of ischemia and hypoxia and a shift of the acid-base balance to the acid side in surrounding tissues. Erosion of the surrounding tissues could cause demyelination. Of course, this is a very shortened lay-version of what the book says. It is explained in clinical detail in the book. His book was one of the first I read on MS, and I have read nothing since that makes more sense to me than his does. So I had avoided saturated fat for years, and I have done very well with my MS. Guest guest
Carol, Is there a difference between the two? When I do a word search on "d-lenolate" all I get is info on olive leaf extract. I guess I thought they were the same thing. Yappy Yappy, I'm afraid you did just what I did! LOL. And I thought the same thing. Maybe we're both wrong, I'm not sure. But, it seems like I went to the site that was shown here and couldn't see a difference. If that is incorrect, someone please speak up! LOL Carol
