It could just be a case of gout

I loved the advice you gave! I don't know if I am right, but doesn't gout

only happen in your big toe? But keeping track of the dates and times of our

problems is a very helpful tool to keep for our doctors and ourselves.

Take care!

Hugs,

Cheryl

As for gout it can affect feet & legs. My maternal grandfather had it often

Thanks for that info!

Glad I was able to impart some helpful info. When ever I go to see a new doctor

or even my primary I get tired of having to repeat myself about allergies,

health history, etc... so I write down questions and whatever I anticipate the

doctors going ask about so that I don't sit there wasting time trying to

remember what I told them the last time I saw them or what's happened in between

visits; especially if the visits are once a mo or every other mo to a year.

As for gout it can affect feet & legs. My maternal grandfather had it often

before he passed away. His legs swelled up as well as his neck and sometimes one

arm or the other. A lot of it had to do with his diet. I'm originally from

Hawaii and we ate a lot of pork and other types of food that affects us in

different ways. Diabetes tends to run in my family because our dietary habits

and genetic make up. I've never had gout, but my sister had it when she was only

in her early 40's. One of her toes got affected by it but it spread up the leg

of the affect digit. Medication can clear it up; unfortunately, I can't remember

the name of the meds she took. And reoccurance is not likely if one changes

one's diet and avoid things that can promote it.
