Using Lysine and Zinc to keep HHV6 under control?

Our son is currently on Famvir and alternates between that and Valtrex.

Part of the Immune System problems he suffers from is the original

virus that attacked his system at 23months HHV6 (Herpes Human Virus

number 6) via the common childhood illness of Roseolla.

I have been reading that a combination of the amino acid Lysine plus

Zinc supplementation keeps Herpes viruses for cold sores and genital

herpes under control so they virus is not activated in the immune

system.

Is anyone else out there using the ammino acid Lysine to boost up the

immune system sucessfully? I am interested to see what nautral herbs,

aminos out there may do the job of all of these synthetic meds

currently prescribed.

I was also reading a tablespoon of Flaxseed Oil can take the place of

SSRI's. I don't know if that is 100% true, but it sounds better then

all of the meds my kid is choking down right now.
