a and and everyone... I have been backed up on posts! So am

slowly going through them. I got the ones about the HDL.

The blood work the new GP did a couple of weeks ago... the blood sugar

fasting came back 85 so that was good.

But the HDL was low. I have since found that a lot of MS patients DO

have the low HDL, as a said, something to do with the dymilating.

(Tryglicerides and others were fine). My SED rate was lower than it has

been in years however!

But the doctor also noted very VERY low B-12.

Luckily I had ALL my blood workups from the past three years! So he had

something to compare to, and found that the B-12 had always been fine

until now for some reason. Whew!

Anyway, he did another B-12 blood test last Monday and sent it off

again, and gave me a B-12 shot before I left his office and told me I

would have to have one every month for a few months.

Well, the nurse called yesterday... the B-12 had dropped even lower,

" dangerously low " , as of the test on Monday... SO... I am going to be

like a pin cushion! I now have to have the stupid B-12 shots EVERY WEEK

for the next 6 months! eeeoowww! Funny thing, I always figured low B12

and you would be " tired " all the time, and I am not!

I saw the New Neurologists Wednesday. I guess when I go to a new Neuro I

always HOPE they will say, " It's all been a silly mistake you do not

have MS! "

But... not gonna happen. I failed all the Neuro tests (one being about

like walking the Drunk Test line!) and he compared all the MRI's, and

went over everything with me again.

They are starting me on the COPAXON when they get it set up through the

Insurance. This is one of the ABC drugs for MS, which does not cure it,

just " slows down the damage " ... Oh well... a pin cushion again! The

Copaxon is a SHOT EVERY DAY! Oh no!

Anyway... am slowly catching up on posts, and just wanted to say thanks

for checking on the HDL and stuff for me.

Susie

Hi Stu - glad you are staying in touch.  It is so important for you to keep

yourself surrounded by friends!  :)  I am doing well, will be going in for a

checkup next month to see how I'm doing hearing wise.  We'll hopefully see if

I'm losing any more ground with my HA ear too.

Busy at work so I gotta go.  Just wanted to say hi!
