Guest guest
Forget my last post, I found the answer when I had just sent the message, I would say La thérapie DAI corrige les tachyarythmies sévères associées à une faible fraction d'éjection (FE) And not injection as I wrote in the previous message. I hate early mornings ! Guest guest
They are talking about " deadly " (fatal would be a better word) tacchyarrythmias that occur as a result of a low ejection fraction (I think the term used more correctly for ejection frcation is Stroke Volume). Thus the ICD therapy prevents these tacchyarrythmias by correcting the low stroke volume (restoring stroke volume to normal for example). I hope this helps! phine > Message du 12/03/04 07:16 > De : Marie-Pierre Gérard > A : medical_translation > Copie à : > Objet : ENG > FR related deadly tachyarrythmias > Hello, > > > > I would like your point of view on the following sentence especially on the > meaning of deadly in that case: > > > > ICD therapy corrects low injection fraction (EF)* related deadly > tachyarrhythmias* > > > > Maybe I wrong but the structure of the end of the sentence sounds strange to > me (no “to” missing, or “and” ?) > > Do you think in that case related refers to “serious” or to “letal?” > > > > Thanks for any help > > > > Marie-Pierre Gérard > > > > MPGTraduction > > ENG > FR > > 7 rue Baudin > > 94210 La Varenne > > FRANCE > > 33 (0)1 41 81 30 34 > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
SV is not exactly EF. Ejection fraction is a percentage of the ventricular volume ejected in systole (normal about 65%), whereas stroke volume is the volume in ml. ___________________________ Sosnovsky, M.D. Biomedical Translation & Editing English > Russian < French Moscow, Russia email: mail@... http://www.biomedtrans.ru Tel.: +7 Fax: +1 Re: ENG > FR related deadly tachyarrythmias They are talking about " deadly " (fatal would be a better word) tacchyarrythmias that occur as a result of a low ejection fraction (I think the term used more correctly for ejection frcation is Stroke Volume).
