Guest guest
Ya know Amy, I have often wondered the same thing myself. I am a WAPF chapter leader and am the director of our local raw milk co-op. I field lots of calls every day from folks about health issues, who are also looking for local raw milk, grass fed meats, kombucha or kefir info etc. and many many of them are homeschool, stay-at-home moms. The only reason I can think of is that it's because sahm's actually prepare meals and surf the net for information. Sahm's are also into learning, into information gathering. I know I am. They've made a conscious decision to stay at home and pursue that career with gusto. And they aren't like the working moms who don't have a lot of time to make meals. They put a lot of thought and time into food choices. That's what I think. Message: 1 Date: Tue, 31 Aug 2004 23:11:57 -0700 Subject: Self Intro of Dona in OK: Welcome! Welcome, Dona! I am a homeschooler myself.two boys 16 and 11. I don't want my kids to graduate either. Much as they drive me nuts, I like having them with me. I am wondering how many homeschoolers ther are on this list. Raw milk, NT and homeschooling seem to be a perfect fit. Wonder why? Guest guest
{raising hand) J We are homeschoolers too. I suppose you could say it’s the big picture that is our lifestyle. I do make most everything from scratch and pay very careful attention to what goes into our lives… food and education are important and taken “that” seriously. -----Original Message----- From: farmgirls4usa Well, I am not a homeschooler<yet>, but I am a homeschoolee.=)=) Any other homeschoolees on this list?? Guest guest
We are also homeschoolers. This is our 18th year homeschooling 10 children. The oldest 2 have officially graduated from highschool, but both are still happily at home. One has a home business ( she is also the official family laundress...helped by the younger girls) and the other is taking online secondary classes, baking all the bread and doing most of the cooking (helped by everyone!). Our 17 YO son and I share the milking responsibilities, and he enjoys the cows as much as I do. The younger boys take care of the chickens, turkeys and the beef cows. 18 years ago we were going to try homeschooling for a year. Now we can not imagine any other lifestyle.
