Guest guest Posted April 15, 2007 Report Share Posted April 15, 2007 I haven't been up to much lately. Nothing seems to catch my eye long enough for me to study. Maybe it's because it's spring. I've been spending time on the weekends in the yard, planting flower beds, getting the grass back in shape etc. I've also been spending more time with my daughter. Since it's nice outside, we play catch, blow bubbles throw a frisbey. (How many have done that lately?) My cholesterol was high and I have been working on reducing that. They wanted to start me on statins but I refused. So I researched supplements like niacin and changing my dietary intake a bit. I'm proud to say that after three and a half months I reduced my cholesterol level by 50 points which also included a raised HDL count 22 above norm. The doctor then decided that medicine wasn't necessary any longer. Why are doctors so quick to send everyone to the pharmacy for everything? What has really been filling my time is a DVD I'm making for Insoon's mother. She had asked me if I could send some pictures of Kaitlyn so I decided to scan and digitally save all of my pictures. (not a small task.) I also downloaded and transferred all of our home movies onto my computer. I've been incorporating both the pictures and home video into one Home Movie that I can send out. To many this may seem easy, but I tend to go over board a bit and include title screens, a soundtrack and transition effects. So it can be time consuming. There was one time I had worked about 8 hours on a Saturday making a movie in Windows Movie Maker just to have the power go out. I ended up having to start the whole thing over from scratch! Ouch! I was so mad, it took me almost two weeks before I would even sit at the computer. LOL! MaC abijann <no_reply > wrote: Thanks for the links. I'll keep what you said about women doctors in mind. I think I made a mistake, I did have one woman doctor who was a pulmonary doctor...I forgot about that till now. You are probably right about they have to try to be more, in order to keep up with the men. What are you studying into now? I haven't been reading too much, relaxing my old brain and trying to give it time to recoop.
