Guest guest Posted February 23, 2006 Report Share Posted February 23, 2006 I've heard about the viral rash that kids can get while using Valtrex. My daughter is not using valtrex but I've noticed a wierd rash...it doesn't look like ringworm or anything like that. I thought maybe it was exzema but it is in a different location than I would expect exzema (mid-thigh) and it is now red, about the size of a quarter and a little bumpy maybe. I noticed some other little red dots too - but not chickenpox, they are flat. I took her off dairy and it seemed to flare up after that. She also got sick about a day or 2 after I took out the dairy.
