Re: chelation questions from preschool

It's not really the preschool's business! But, they say that you can

wash it off 1/2 hour after applying. I do wash Jack's off in the

mornings before school so he won't smell as strong- so for that

reason I put it on the tops of his feet. Sometimes I put it behind

his knees though. Jack is 3 1/2 and most of the kids in his class

are a little older (were 4 in the fall). I started washing it off

because some of the kids were calling him 'stinky Jack', which he

thought was pretty funny.

As far as the smell and them wondering what's going on with that --

which no one has ever asked -- I volunteered that he was on a

transdermal B1 vitamin cream and that it sometimes smelled a bit

skunky.

I think it's safe to say that the interventions we do for our

children can't have any effects on children they play with...

However, all the perfumes, scented lotions and toiletries, and strong

cleaners, that some parents and teachers use can be really bad for

ALL kids (you can tell this is my current rant w/Jack's school).

30 min. and you can wash. Works for 8 hrs.

You probably should apply where the child can't get to it or it's

covered with clothes. Shoulder blade, back of knees, top of feet,

ribs, etc.

Hi Sharon.. I did not mean to convey that I am at odds with the

school.. actually it is just the opposite :) They have jumped

through hoops to accommodate Slater's needs.. far beyond what I

would have ever expected and they just want to understand more about

the chelation and if there are any precautions that need to be

taken. It is a university based intervention clinic and they truly

have been so supportive. Didn't mean for it to sound otherwise. :)

Thanks and good luck!
