Have any of you tried using caprylic acid for treating yeast? & amp;nbsp; Our DAN

doc recommends the 65mg softgels made by Atrium. & amp;nbsp; It seems to be

working

for my son. & amp;nbsp; Since I hadn't heard of it before, I'm curious if anyone

has

had experience with it...

Thanks!

We seem to have had some success fighting Candida with Caprylic Acid from

Solgar. There is another name for it and it has been mentioned a lot on an

internet list - this one?. I just forget if it is SF722 or something sounding

like it. Anyone want to chime in and help us out here?

You've got it right; it's Thorne's SF722. Dr. JM

I have some of the Thorne's SF722 and I don't know if this is the

same as caprylic acid, but the main ingredient is 10-undecenoic acid

(derived from castor bean oil).

Is this the same formula?

I'm giving one gel cap a day for a few days and then rotate to

biocidin, grapefruit seed extract, or olive leaf extract for a few

days. I'm hoping this will help enough to avoid the diflucan.

Sharon,

Hi, I have been off the list for a while and I am just getting caught

up. We are one of the few rotating flagyl and diflucan to keep the yeast

and bacteria down. I noticed that you stated below that you try to avoid

diflucan. What is the reason for that? I'm just curious if your son

can't tolerate it or you know something bad about it?
