1. Wohlfahrtspflege - this appears in the name of a professional association

and in the title of some German legislation: is this simply nursing?

2. Blutentnahme - do we call this blood extraction?

3. Nadelstichverletzung - do we refer to needlestick (needle-stick) injury? I

am pretty sure I have seen it.

4. I used puncture for stich in some contexts, so what about Durchstich?

Still puncture?

" Blood sampling " is perhaps better.

In my opinion, it is something more than a pucture (or than a simple

needle-stick). A " Durchstich " is when the needle penetrates deep tissues

(transfixion) (compare e.g.

I suggest " deep needle-stick " .
