Guest guest
Hi everyone... I am the mom of two boys, Evan & Trey, both with regressive autism. Evan is turning 5 in August and Trey just turned 3 in February. In terms of their responsiveness to biomedical treatments their stories are very different. Evan is our " tough nut " . For a year I suspected Lymes on him. (I grew up in Massachusetts and had bit by ticks more often than I can count... long hair and doing cartwheels on the lawn was a perfect combo). Anyway, we ran the bloodtest through Igenex last month and many bands were present but indeterminate. Only the 41d (which is non-Lyme specific) was +++. I still highly suspect Lyme based on his clinical presentation -- oh and did I mention the bullseye rashes came out when we started homeopathy this past February? Crazy!!! Anyway, I went to Autism One, met Tami, and based on a conversation with her as well as the GM at NutraMedix I've decided to " challenge " Evan's Lyme and then test his urine PCR through Igenex. I had four remedies from Nutramedix tested by our bioset practitioner. (He only weighs 36 lbs so the dose on the label was clearly too much for him.) Based on that testing we are doing a 10- day course of the following: Banderol - 3 drops, 2 x per day Cumanda - 3 drops daily Samento - 2 drops daily I want to make sure we're giving enough to actually get some borrelia corpses in his urine but at the same time I'm not prepared to go " full throttle " on the Lyme clearing. He's starting to have reflux symptoms and some loose stools. We are on day five. Anyone's kiddo experienced reflux from such treatments? I know will need a more seasoned practitioner to help with our true Lyme treatment plan and plan to find him/her next. But I have aspirations of my insurance company helping (maybe?) with some of this so getting a test that isn't just " indeterminate " would be helpful. Has anyone else ever done the Urine PCR test? Any experience with NutraMedix products? I read their recommended protocol for adults treating Lyme and plan to do it on myself - but I have to work up the nerve. I'm only doing the Samento for 10 days and going through some die-off myself. With two little ones, both nonverbal, both so involved - I can't afford much downtime right now. But I can't wait forever either... it's on my " top ten to-do list " ! Thanks in advance for ANY insights, advice, recommendations. Hugs to each & every one of you!
