Does this mean that if a tooth gets knocked out and is placed in milk it can be put back in place???

Yes, but I would think that processed milk would not work as well as raw (of course). And there is a time factor (not sure how long) before it is too late.

This actually happened to someone I know. His daughter got one of her teeth knocked out at a baseball game. Thankfully one of the parents in the stands was a dentist. They put the tooth in a carton of milk from a vending machine and went to his office. All was well.

I'm sure there is a time-limit, but I have no idea what it is.

What I learned in school was2-4 hours, but I have never had it happen in the clinical setting.
