A few more queries on 'Gynäkologie'

1. 4 cm messendes Abradat (gr).

What is Abradat (gr). ?

2. Tubenquerschnitte mit plumpen Tubenfalten und glatter Muskulatur der

Tubenwand.

For this I have 'Tubal transections with bulbous tubal folds and smooth

musculature of the tubal wall.'

Is this terminology OK?

3. Das weiter, vollständig zusätzlich eingegettete Material wieder Blutkoagel

und Tubenteilstücke mit Einblutungen.

I am finding this a bit hard to express but also could 'eingegettete' be a

misspelling of 'eingebettete'? What is 'Einblutungen' as apposed to

'Blutungen'?

4. Die vorliegenden Veränderungen sind mit einem tubaren Abort zu verienbare;

Can I take this 'verienbare' to be a misspelling of 'vereinbaren' In other

words the changes can be reconciled with a tubal abortion?

5. Nabelumschlagsfalte and Blasenumschlagsfalte What are these two?

What is Abradat (gr). ?

Maybe you could say " curetted tissue " for Abradat. I believe

you were talking abot a D & C before?

I would put the " mit Einblutungen " as an adjective,

No. I didn't leave out the verb, just the 'um' off wieder.

I should have mentioned that this text is under the heading of Mikroskopischer

Befund

I'll quote the whole section for reference:

Dorland has under " to abrade " : to rub away the external covering or layer

of a part.

---> I would use:

'cross section' (the result of transecting something)

'plump' (bulbous = shapes like a bulb)

'smooth muscles' (musculature sounds too German :-))

---> I didn't find these terms in my German anatomy book :-(

Umschlagsfalte = reflection (Dorland's: a bending back upon its course),

e.g. peritoneal reflection -- and depending on the specific U., it can be

(conjunctival) fornix, (amnioectodermal) junction, or ligament (of

epididymis)

After looking at an English language anatomy book, I suggest 'umbilical

fold' (there is a medial and a lateral one) and 'fold** of the urinary

bladder'

(** I have difficulties to imagine where this might be -- perhaps

'ligament' fits better here??? ---> Perhaps this could be answered by one

of our MDs on the list?)
