Shot and Spray

Hi Everyone;

I've just received my daughter's nMB12. Gave her a dose today - quite the struggle.

We also do MB12 shots. Just wondering how people on both shots and spray typically schedule dosing?

We've been doing MB12 shots every 3 days. Our DAN suggests giving nMB12 two to three times per week. Is it too much to give both on one day? Any input appreciated...

We do both. My daughter is 2.5 years, 28 lbs.

We started with shots every three days, but found she was

significantly better on Day 1 (shot day) than Day 3.

We added in one spray on Day 3, then a spray on Day 2 as well. She

continued to do well, so we added a spray to Day 1 (shot day) as

well. Now she gets the spray with the shot, in the morning.

We think the nasal has helped a ton (as do the shots), but even

though she gets nasal every day, we still find a difference between

Day 1 and Day 3 (although not as significant a difference as before

the spray). So, our doc (Usman) just suggested with do shots every

other day (for one month) and then daily, while keeping the spray

going.

Interestingly, even with the amount of mB12 is getting, her

recent labs show that she actually needs more B12 now than she did a

year ago, when we weren't giving her any! The doc explained that we

are opening up the pathway, her body is learning to use it and is

craving more.

HTH,

Dawn

I forgot to mention the struggle. I take the nasal as well and (1)

it helps her if she gets to watch me take it first; and (2) I find

it works better on me (and I get less whining from her) if I place

the nozzle higher in the nose.

The lower the nozzle is placed, the more it drips out, which isn't a

great sensation. Placing it high enough means little or no drip.

For myself, I place the tip of the nozzle a little more than halfway

up. Obviously, the tip doesn't go in that far on my 2.5 year old,

but she's sleeping or else I would measure it for you. Don't jam it

in, obviously, but place it gently and reasonably high.

Also, I save her one incentive for after all her morning

supplements -- a frozen GFCF chocolate CLO wafer (1/2 tsp CLO, 1/2

tsp melted GFCF chips). It tastes awful and fishy to me, but she

digs her " chocolate " enough to take 9 supplements, a shot, and a

spray first.

If you want to try the spray on yourself, you may find that it gives

you more energy.

Hi Dawn;

Thanks for the reply to my post. Great application technique suggestions.

Yes, I think I have read some of your previous posts about your daughter doing better with more frequent MB12 dosing. She is a good responder to the shots/spray?

So far my daughter has not responded to the shots, and I haven't noticed anything after the first application of nMB12. I will give it some time though...

Hi Kim,

It really depends on the child. Some children only need a little and others

need more. You

can typically figure it out by trying different dosages and frequencies and

observing your

child.

After the first few times, nasal gets much eaiser. Try to make it fun with a

little tickling

and teasing. Also, the less anxious you are is better and that comes with a

couple of days

of experience.

Does anyone know where I can get mB-12 in vial (without preservative), so that I can try out different dosages, instead of the fixed pre-filled syringes? TIA.

Excellent suggestions.

You might also find that MB12 not only give you energy but relaxes you at the

same time.

I don't know of any drug that can do that.

It's a good question. Why not try calling a pharmacy to see. In my case, I

used to adjust

how much I was giving myself by ordering the higher dosage and giving myself

less and

less of the shot each time (never using the same shot twice of course).

This was a bit wasteful, but did the trick.
