If you are not interested in making these things yourself but want a product

that is truly natural with no hidden ingrediants or chemicals. I would suggest

Flutterbye Aromatics.

They make lotions, soaps and other skin care products as well as mosquito

repellents for humans and animals and sun blocks. Their lip balms are the only

thing I have found effective in keeping my lips from suffering in the sun and

they are 100% natural so I am not ingesting some chemical every time I lick my

lips.

I have used their products for years and would never use anything else at this

point.

Not meaning to be contentious, but whatever happened to hats, bandanas and t-shirts>

I do not tan well, but am outside ever day for some length of time.

My kids the same. the shoulders and nose tend to be the most sensitive, hence shirts and hats. If we need a "sunblock, such as for nose and cheeks, zinc oxide ointment works fine. What are we after here? IMO some parts of the body just are not meant for steady, unprotected sun, and a llightweight t-shirt will allow sun to get through a bit, and you can take it off for a bit of exposure then put it back on...

(btw we are not "into" tanning. we all have "farmer's tans)

Totally right, !

We have to remember that the sun is *actually* good for us! We need the Vit. D. sunlight synergizes in our bodies. Why else do many get Seasonally Affective Disorder during the winter?! (And we quaff fish oil/CLO?)

"Farmer's tans" ! LOL. Are there such a thing as "fisher's tans" ? I remember Dad would go for all day fishing, he'd return home looking much browner!
