Re: EN>IT: Alberan lever

Hello Stefania

This rang a bell. A couple of years ago there was a query to the list

about " Alberan lever " in connection with a translation into Spanish and I

kept a note of the exchange (apologies and acknowledgments to the people

involved, I'm afraid I didn't keep their names)

It was suggested that " Alberan lever " (part of a duodenoscope) was probably

a typo for " Albarran lever " (named after the urologist Joaquín Albarrán y

Domínguez). In cystoscopes " Albarran bridge " translates as " puente de

Albarrán " , so " Alberan lever " could be translated as " palanca de Albarrán " .

All the best

Owen
