Guest guest
, This is not endless rambling...I am new to this OCD also and it is helping me so much, and you don't even know it. We are in the midst of trying to find the proper medication for our son - the proper dose of Luvox and something that will work to calm him down because he is so agitated and ritualistic at this point. I'm sorry I can't help you about the allergic reaction, but having allergies to medication myself, I'm sure it can happen and that your doctor might be able to address that. Keep writing, tho. Guest guest
Please don't think you're whining. Most of us have been through it and it just helps to talk about it. It helps to know that you're not alone and that someone else has been through it and survived. There is light at the end of the tunnel. We all benefit from each other's experiences. In fact, if you ask me, we're all the REAL EXPERTS, because we've lived with these kids and seen first hand what toll it takes on a family. We don't just read about it in journals or see patients with it, we've been through the heartache. Hang in there! Things are bound to get better. in Missouri > Hello, > Has anyone had a child on medication who developed and itchy skin > rash? Also I know one of the side effects of this Clonidine is fatigue > but took it twice and today slept on and off until 2pm,got up > and then took a nap around 6.That is a lot of sleep for my boy.I > called the doctor and of course he is not in this week.We are going > in tomorrow anyway to see the doc filling in for him. This has been > one tough week.First the meltdown, then the hospital now this.I know > things will get better but it's hard to see right now.You all must be > tired of all my whining.I am so thankful for all the advice I get > from all you wise people. It seems when ever I have a question this is > where I turn first.I have found that if you dig to much on the > internet your bound to find something you wish you hadn't.At least > here you get first hand accounts from people who know exactly what > your talking about. That is priceless to me and makes me feel like I > am not alone.Sometime my own husband doesn't even understand.I tell > him it's because he basically still has his like,His work ,sports > ect.But this is my life,my reality at least for now.I know the answer > is out there for my son so I have no intentions of giving up until I > find it.Well enough of my endless rambling. Thanks again for all the > support.~~
Guest guest
, you are not whining! This site is here so that we can all be heard and you have a lot going on right now! Neither one of my kids have ever had an allergic reaction to meds so I don't know about your son's rash. I do know that we give Clonidine so she can fall asleep at night so I'm not surprised that it is making your son sleepy. Sometimes it takes a couple of days for the body to adjust itself to a med. When was seven, we put her on Zyprexa and she was zonked the first day. I gave her the same amount the next day and she was fine. If it doesn't pass, I would think that the amount you are giving him needs to be adjusted. Please feel free to vent anytime. We have all been there!
