Guest guest
Is there a certain amount of bone to water that there should be? I just pulled out two packages marked soup bone, but they were mostly meat! The next time my parents have an animal to butcher I know I will ask for a bag of bones. I am sure this broth I am making will not be the greatest, but I was just wondering if there is a certain amount of bone that should be used with a medium stock pot of water. Grace, a Augustine I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough ''Hello's " to get you through the final goodbye. --anonymous ----- Original Message ----- From: Carol Sent: Sunday, October 21, 2001 3:46 PM Subject: Re: Correlation Between Epilepsy and Diet? Kareemah: Try www.eatwild.com as a source in your area. It has helped us, although there is nobody nearby, it's two hours to get butter, cheese, eggs or milk! And that's in two different directions! If you can find raw milk from a Jersey cow, there is so much cream you could make your own butter in a blender. I do know that the place we get butter and cheese from will ship, but their butter is not raw, although it is grassfed. Shalom! Guest guest
I did the first and only time I've made beef broth. I had some from when I split half a side of beef with family. I had kept it awhile as I didn't know what to do with it until I discovered NT. I baked them in the oven until brown and then made the broth. I just made my last batch with a combo of chicken necks, some leftover lamb bones, and a bag of oxtails. it was my first broth with oxtail and it's VERY tasty. I can get oxtails pretty cheap at a local farm store, unlike so it's cost-effective for me. Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc. I checked when I went shopping today and they are $14 a pound. Chris ____ " What can one say of a soul, of a heart, filled with compassion? It is a heart which burns with love for every creature: for human beings, birds, and animals, for serpents and for demons. The thought of them and the sight of them make the tears of the saint flow. And this immense and intense compassion, which flows from the heart of the saints, makes them unable to bear the sight of the smallest, most insignificant wound in any creature. Thus they pray ceaselessly, with tears, even for animals, for enemies of the truth, and for those who do them wrong. I don't remember what I paid, i just remember it was one of the cheapest things in the freezer. i usually only pay about $2.60/lb. for my steaks, and i don't think i paid more than that for the oxtails, but i really don't remember. I got mine direct from the farm store. I'll check the price when i go tomorrow and let you know. Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc. Have not bought them for some time, as shamefully i only bought them as dog food and my dogs tend to vomit them back up in the wee hours , but the price is still about $2.50 a lb here in Salem, Oregon Kathy A Oregon
