Guest guest
Dear Rahul, Your letter comes as a pleasant surprise to me. I am very much honoured. Here at MGIMS, you are also part of the MGIMS extended family. We had discussed this earlier and your valuable inputs are most welcome. However, I would request you to kindly tell your sister to subscribe, also. We would definitely enjoy her company, also. Now that Neeti and the others from 1986 are here, I am certain that she would also like to share her 'newly married' tips and 'new parenting questions' with all of us. You have been a bit cryptic. Could you tell us the details like which city your sister has settled in and who did she marry. We at MGIMS like to keep tabs on each other. You have also been a bit reticent about your own self. Tell us about yourself. (I am visiting your web-site tonight, but a brief resume would be nice.) Kishore Shah 1974 PS: You are right about those tortoise shaped insects. I think that they were unique to Sevagram. I did not spot such insects anywhere else in the world! In fact, when I was playing the video game , the game enters a giant land where all the enemies are huge. I was reminded then of these same insects which are unique to Sevagram. Can anyone shed some light on this species? Has anyone seen similar things anywhere else in the world? I remember them plopping on to my study table and invariably turning upside down (turtle). They were aerodynamically very unstable. And though they looked very frightening, with their huge claws and proboscis, they were actually very harmless and non-biting. Are they still there in Sevagram? MGIMS Eklavya Dear Dr. Shah, I know you through the MGIMS Yahoogroup. My sister Urvashi Razdan studied at MGIMS between 1986 and 1994, and specialized in ENT. While it was she who subscribed to the group (razdans@...) - for the last couple of years, i.e after she got married - it has been me who has been diligently following each and every mail written in the group. So in a way, I consider my self as another 'Eklavya' of the MGIMS family - I know there are many more Eklavya's to MGIMS! Since my sister was extremely vocal about MGIMS and Sewagram at home, I am able to relate to most of what is written in the group about - MGIMS, Sewagram, doctors, Behenji and Wardha. In fact, I have been to Sewagram once in 1991. Amongst the memories I have: - milk at Goras - unending cow-dung on the roads - huge black-coloured tortoise shaped insects - rogue rats in tourist huts (the kinds who would bite your toe in the dark! We had to hang all our edibles from the roof) - seeing 'Heena' in a cinema hall in Wardha, where we had to open our umbrellas inside the hall, because the roof was leaking! How I had hated the place then! Now I value it. But much more than that, I value the shared sense of community that pervades in the mgims yahoogroup. There have been times when the flow of communication in the group was more rivetting than any of the TRP grossing programmes on TV! For somebody like me, who does not know any of the people on mgims@yahoogroups personally - this is real drama with real characters (their joining years appended!). And for that one can't help but overstate the role played by you. In fact, in this role of yours, you have been an inspiration. I would be delighted if you took some time to visit www.rfactorial.com A site about people who I have learnt something from in life. And I certainly have learnt quite a lot from you! Warm regards Rahul Razdan
Guest guest
Dear Rahul, Pardon me for butting in... I have just visited your website http://www.rfactorial.com... and it is wonderful! Congratulations! Kishore, this guy has beaten me to the draw, as far as archiving your excellent articles is concerned. Anyway, they should be on the web, and now they will be. I do feel a bit bad about it though. (Actually the very thought of staying online and scanning those ~5000 messages sent shivers down my spine - to be frank, just could'nt find the online time) :-( Ravin '
Guest guest
Dear Rahul, Welcome aboard!.......and as Dr.Shah had mentioned, here at MGIMS,you are always part of our extended family. First thing is first, tell Urvashi,i'm mad at her....bhai shaadi karli or bataya tak nahi. Here i'm sending my spaceship to mars looking for Urvashi....and there she has been underground celebrating her honeymoon!!!Thats not fair.Last time i sent her an email,i guess wayback in 2001-2 at razdans@... but it was returned by some ?sanjeev/sanjay...and i thought may be i sent it to a wrong address.Anyway thats an old story now. How's Urvashi doing? Where she got married?Ask her to join the group. Coming to you Rahul,I must congratulate you on the wonderful writeup about Dr.Shah.......and everything u said about him sounds so true......... and your site rfactorial.com is one of a kind.......super-dee-duper!!!.But you know what, u made a mistake in calculating r!=120......in my opinion it should have been r!=720, you forgot to multiply the Razdan family traits..........did you hear,i mean read, Dr.Shah what i said.......the distinct family traits, which are common to Rahul and Urvashi........the same down-to earth approach, which is so genuine......like brother like sister!!! So Rahul,do tell us something about yourself....and of course Urvashi too!!We'll be more than happy to know. Neeti Sharma/Suri'
